
Suho
Birth Name: Kim Joon Myeon

Suho was an active student and earned good grades during grade school. He was the class president at his primary school and the vice chairman at his high school. It has been stated by fellow members of EXO that Suho is the smartest of the group. He has a brother who is 4 years older than him.
Pursuing a degree in acting, he currently attends Korea National University of Arts and is ranked in the top 50 of 400 students at the school.

Chanyeol
Birth Name: Park Chanyeol
Born: November 27, 1992 (Seoul)

Chanyeol was born on November 27, 1992 in Seoul, South Korea. He has an older sister, Park Yoo-ra, who is 3 years older than him and is a TV reporter.
He attendedHyundai Chungun High School in Dong-gu, Ulsan and was admitted to a private acting institution when he was sixteen years old, where he became good friends with Block B's P.O. When he was young, he owned a pet ferret and was a member of a ferret club.

Kris
Birth Name: Li Jiaheng (Kevin Li)

In 2007, at age 16, Wu auditioned for S.M. Entertainment's Canadian S.M. Global Auditions, which was held in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 14, 2007.
He was attending Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School at the time of the casting. After passing the auditions, he moved to South Korea the following year and became an S.M. trainee. Prior to joining EXO, he made an appearance in an intermission video for the Girls' Generation Tour in 2011.

Xiumin
Birth Name: Kim Minseok
Born: March 26, 1990 (Gyeonggi)

In 2008, at age 18, he was cast into S.M. Entertainment after winning second place in the S.M. Everysing Contest. Xiumin was formally introduced as the seventh member of Exo on January 26, 2012. He also practices taekwondo and kendo. Xiumin was featured on the music video of "Gone" by JIN, alongside actress Kim Yoo-jung. During episode 3 of EXO Showtime, Xiumin shared that he is 25 years old, however, in East Asian age reckoning, this the same as 24 in Western ages.

Baekhyun
Birth Name: Byun Baekhyun
Born: May 6, 1992 (Bucheon)

Prior to joining SM, he took piano lessons under Kim Hyunwoo of DickPunks. He was studying for his college musical entrance exams when he was scouted to join S.M. Entertainment in 2011 through the S.M. Casting System. Before he got into S.M. Entertainment he had auditioned for JYP online in 2009.
Being a member of EXO, Baekhyun has cited Rain as one of his main influences and says that he hopes to emulate Rain's "well-rounded" success.

Kai
Birth Name: Kim Jongin
Born: Janury 14, 1994 (Seoul)

Known as the group's main dancer, Kai has been dancing since he was eight years old and was trained in jazz dance and ballet.
He stated that his parents initially wanted him to learnTaekwondo and the piano, but he quickly lost interest in both. After watching The Nutcracker when he was in fourth grade, Kai expressed his wish to study ballet professionally. He developed his current technical expertise of hip hop, popping, and locking after joining S.M. Entertainment.

Luhan
Birth Name: Lu Han

While studying in Seoul, Lu Han was scouted by an S.M. Entertainment casting agent, who recommended him to audition for the company's annual S.M. Casting System. His audition was successful, and Lu Han joined Exo in 2011.
Lu was the second of the twelve EXO members to be formally introduced to the public, on December 27, 2011. Along with Tao, Chen, and EXO-K's Kai, Lu Han made his first televised performance on SBS's Gayo Daejun event on December 29, 2011.

Lay
Birth Name: Zhang Yixing

D.O
Birth Name: Do Kyungsoo
Born: January 12, 1993 (Goyang)

D.O. has been singing since primary school and was an avid participant in local singing competitions throughout his high school career.
In 2010, he was recommended to audition for S.M. Entertainment after winning at a local singing festival. He subsequently became an S.M. Entertainment trainee during his last two years of high school.

Sehun
Birth Name: Oh Sehun
Born: April 12, 1994 (Seoul)
Associated Act: EXO-K
He is one of the lead dancers and maknae of EXO and the lead dancer and maknae of its sub-group EXO-K as well. Sehun was scouted by a casting agent on the streets when he was twelve, and was finally cast into S.M. Entertainment in 2008, after going through four auditions in two years. On January 10, 2012, he was introduced as the fifth member of EXO. Sehun made a brief appearance in Girls' Generation-TTS's music video for "Twinkle" alongside fellow members Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Kai.

Chen
Birth Name: Kim Jongdae
Born: September 21, 1992 (Gyeongi)

Chen was the fourth member to be formally introduced to the public, on December 29, 2011. Along with Lu Han, Tao, and Exo-K's Kai, Chen had his first televised performance at theSBS Gayo Daejun event on December 29, 2011.
On February 4, 2014, SM revealed that the group "SM The Ballad" would make a comeback with new members, including Chen. He sang the Chinese version of the title track, Breath with Zhang Liyin.

Tao
Birth Name: Huang Zitao
Born: May 2, 1993 (Shandong)

Also known as Edison Huang, is the main rapper of Exo-M. He attended Humen Centre Primary School, one of the most prestigious primary schools in Qingdao Middle School. Tao is a martial artist, and has been practicing Wushu since he was five years old. He competed in several martial arts championships in Qingdao, and won the "Top Rap Award" at Beijing 3rd Annual Collage Street Jam. In 2010, Tao appeared as an extra in the ninth episode of the mainland Chinese idol drama, That Love Comes
